The Oli13 manufacturing process is the vulcanizing, which is known by just a few manufacturers in the world. These shoes are sewn and assembled entirely by hand and after are fired in a 115 ° kiln during 80 minutes to give the rubber its elasticity and to get the flexibility of the sole and the shoe.
The E.E. 1929 model is made with a special textured canvas, 100% cotton, “made in green” and hand sewn by the women of Alicante.
The most difficult step of the process begins when the skilled craftsmen have to put the rubber tape around the shoe. This process is only possible to make by hand, no machine can do it. Also for the Oli13 shoes we have added the difficulty to put a rubber tape with a curved shape and different heights in “just one piece”. To make it possible we have developed special patterns, molds, and a new double modelling process with the chalk.
Each pair of shoes is stamped by hand on the elastic tape around the sole with a seal to engrave the model (E.E. 1929), which makes each pair different.
